ShieldByDesign Terms of Service

Welcome to ShieldByDesign. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our vehicle protection services ("Services"). By booking or using our Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Services.

1. Scope of Services

ShieldByDesign provides premium automotive protection services, including Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation, Ceramic Coating applications, and related detailing services. All services are subject to availability, vehicle condition, and location.

Eligibility to Use Services

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian

  • Provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking

  • Follow all care and maintenance guidelines provided post-service

We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

3. Vehicle Acceptance Policy

ShieldByDesign strives to provide the highest level of service, but certain vehicle conditions may affect the outcome or eligibility for specific services. We reserve the right to assess the condition of a vehicle before beginning any work. This may include evaluating paint quality, surface contamination, existing coatings, body damage, or other factors that could interfere with proper application or final results. If additional preparation is needed, such as paint correction or decontamination, we may recommend or require these services at an additional cost.

Customers are encouraged to disclose any prior treatments or known issues before their appointment. Service may be declined or modified if a vehicle's condition does not allow for proper application of the products or if proceeding could risk further damage.

4. Pricing and Payments

Prices are based on service type, vehicle size, condition, and any upgrades or add-ons selected. A deposit may be required to secure your appointment. Final payment is due upon service completion. Additional charges may apply for unexpected labor, materials, or changes made by the Customer.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Late cancellations, no-shows, or missed drop-offs may result in forfeited deposits or cancellation fees. Refunds for dissatisfaction, damage, or warranty claims will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, subject to the limitations in Section 6.

6. Liability and Limitations

ShieldByDesign takes pride in delivering the highest quality work. However, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage to paint, trim, or aftermarket parts

  • Issues arising from improper vehicle care after service

  • Environmental damage (e.g., rock chips, bird droppings, UV damage) beyond the control of any coating or film
    Unless otherwise stated in writing, our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service.

7. Customer Responsibilities

By using our Services, you agree to:

  • Disclose all known issues with your vehicle’s paint or prior treatments

  • Provide timely access to your vehicle and ensure it is in a serviceable condition

  • Follow aftercare instructions and warranty maintenance guidelines
    Failure to meet these responsibilities may void warranties or impact service quality.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

ShieldByDesign respects your privacy. Customer data is collected solely to process bookings, communicate updates, and enhance your experience. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law. For more, please see our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • You provide inaccurate or misleading information

  • Your actions compromise the safety of our team or equipment
    Termination may occur without notice in severe cases.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the ShieldByDesign website and marketing materials—including logos, graphics, text, and software—is the property of ShieldByDesign or its licensors. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShieldByDesign, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of our Services or your breach of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved under Texas law in the appropriate state or federal courts.

13. Updates to Terms

ShieldByDesign may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services or legal obligations. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
